Confirmed cases of H1N1 virus approach 900

It seems that the number of confirmed cases of swine flu has reached 900 now. Mexico being the center of the epidemic has 506 cases including 19 deaths. The Health Secretary of Mexico is reporting that the most active period of the virus has passed and that the virus is on decline. However, the WHO is worried that the swine flu could surge up again in the autumn during flu season. China is taking strong precautionary against the swine flu and has quarantined 68 people already. 13 of these people were crew members on a flight to Shanghai from Mexico City where a passanger tested positive for the virus. Shanghai Airport is now barred all Aeromexico planes from landing at the city. On a positive note, health officials claim that eating pork does not put anyone at risk of obtaining the virus.
