As Refugees Flee, Thousands of Children Have No Country to Call Their Own

This article talks about the Syrian refugees and the crisis that they are going through. A recent problem has been between the children of the refugees. Some of the babies recently born have no country to call their own. An example mentioned in the article is the two year old toddler named Yazan al-Najjar. He was born while his mother was running away from the war. He has no papers that claim who his parents are nor where he was born. His mother only has a document that claims them to be refugees. His father abandoned them when Yazan was only 2 months old. Refugee single mothers have it more difficult because they tell them to go back to Syria in order to get identification papers. The children of the refugees who are staying in European countries do not have papers to even attend school. Many children are going to school through their parents' identification papers.  For the older refugees, a difficult problem that they are facing is the unemployment. I think Syrian refugees are going through a very difficult period of their lives right now. After reading this article I really do empathize with them and their suffering.
