Kerry Ties Uzbekistan's Human Rights

Secretary Kerry has been on a 5 country tour, trying to get cooperation for human rights. It is good to see that the United States is trying to make ties and help out the problems of human rights violations. In this meeting that Kerry had with the president of Uzbekistan, they mainly talked about the human rights issues that are happening there, along with how they will gain cooperation with things such as trade. Kerry was also talking about the economic environment there and wanting to discuss ideas on how to help the country out. Uzbekistan is one of the  top ten countries that are corrupt. It is interesting that the United States is getting involved, they are wanting to address the human rights issues but also we can gain something out of it too. We will have ties to a country for more peace with them and trade cooperation. Uzbekistan also used to be associated with the Soviet republic so now with tensions with Russia rising, it is important to have a country like this on our side.
