France and ISIS

France is upping their game to help stop ISIS! France is now sending their largest warship to help stop ISIS. This is seen as a method much faster than if they were just to do air strikes. France has been trying to take down ISIS since 2014 with air strikes. They have 6 jets in Jordan and 6 in the United Arab Emirates but this warship will be able to hold up to 40 more jets and support over 100 flights a day. The president of France says that this is important because they will be able to help their allies.

France's pursued interests with ISIS  have a lot to do with the terrorist attack that happened at the start of the year in Paris. Since then, 271 air strikes in 1,285 aerial missions across Iraq have been carried out. Only 2 strikes "have been carried out by France in Syria, targeting"  an ISIS training camp.

I think that France stepping up and trying to hit ISIS harder is great. Countries working together to help bring down this terrible threat is necessary and it's good that most are on the same page. Although, with all these fighter jets I am worried about the possibility of innocent lives being killed. Air strikes get the job done but it's hard to know exactly who you are hitting and where. Precision is key with air strikes. I hope that France has success with this.
