Clinton vs. Black Live Matters protesters.

The Black Live Matters is a unique contribution that goes beyond extrajudicial killings of Black people by police and vigilantes. It goes beyond the narrow nationalism that can be prevalent within some Black communities, which merely call on Black people to love Black, live Black and buy Black, keeping straight cis Black men in the front of the movement while our sisters, queer and trans and disabled folk take up roles in the background or not at all. Black Lives Matter affirms the lives of Black queer and trans folks, disabled folks, Black-undocumented folks, folks with records, women and all Black lives along the gender spectrum. It centers those that have been marginalized within Black liberation movements. It is a tactic to (re)build the Black liberation movement. This movement, which began during the civil rights period, has undergone major reforms starting with the use of the hashtag, #Black Live Matters , on social media after the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of African-American teen Trayvon Martin as it tackles new challenges that undermine our equality as human and basic human rights. Black Live Matters is crucial to understand since it is a movement dedicated to undertake and eradicate all forms of inequality.
Hilary Clinton , who have been a vocal supporter of the Black Live Matters , was faced with protesters this last week during her campaign in Seattle. However, people were confused on the motives of the protesters since in this case as some people mentioned, they are protesting against someone who is actually supporting their movement. On the other hand, the protesters who were dismissed from the campaign claimed that the protested not because they think Clinton is not supportive enough but rather they think that Clinton as do other politician have been using the movement to attract people in particular people in the African American community for elections while unable to deliver on the promises that they have made. To sum up, the protesters served a very important role in my view which is to remind Clinton that words are not enough, but action is what matters and only then, they will consider her a worthy politician worth to represent them personally as individuals and collectively as a movement.
