On the road in Syria, struggle all around

This article talks about the difficult situation in Syria after the Kurdish militia pushed out the ISIS. People are unemployed, there is low wage, and there are no people in government. In other words, there is no government at all in Syria. There is no police and all the officials have left Syria. The article mentions Ali Mohammed, who used to be a nurse but he got fired after the civil war started. Now he works to boil crude oil to turn it to diesel for less than 3$ a day. The civil war has turned him into a diesel bootlegger. He mentions that before the war he had no idea he would end up in this situation. He knew there were oil wells in Syria, but he mentions that he had no idea how it was made until he had no other choice but learn, in order to make money for his family. People do anything they can to keep surviving in the ruins of their homeland. They say there is hope and that Syria can be a free democratic place but it will take lots of time.
