A group of four individuals took a case all the way up to the supreme court for the right to plant, transport and use marijuana for recreational purposes. This is really interesting because it is a first step to legalizing pot. This really only matters because of the deadly war on drugs. A lot of people argue that legalizing marijuana and other drugs will help alleviate the violence Mexico is currently experiencing. The hope is that bringing drugs above board and out of the illicit market will allow it to be regulated and sever its ties to the underworld,
