German Police Crack Down on Human Trafficking

German officals coordinated a massive raid across the country, three states and 17 cities in an attack on an illicit market that has seen a huge spike in activity due to the Syrian refugee crisis. Some of the refugees trying to flea the conflict in Syria will do just about anything to avoid the conflict. With most of Europe rejecting refugees these individuals are finding alternative routes to crossing boarders, and this creates plenty of problems. Some are crossing over with the help of smugglers charging €10,000 a person to illegally smuggle someone. The methods tends to extremely dangerous, tons of people packed into tight unventilated compartments. Due to this many people die in the journey and some of the dead are left scattered long roads in awake of the path the smugglers take.

During this raid, the German officials said that over 500 police officers were used in the search and seizure. They did not comment on how many individuals were arrested during the multiple raids, but they find a lot of weapons in the compounds.
