Sanna Marin, Finland's Prime Minister, Is Officially Cleared of Misconduct - Megan Lemley

Sanna Marin, the world's youngest prime minister, has now been "cleared of misconduct after video in August showed her partying." During class, we were shown the video of Marin truly enjoying her time with some friends, which hit the news cables pretty quick. The world was quick to make judgements about Marin, asking a multitude of questions. Was Marin fully qualified to lead Finland's government? Were her priorities in the correct order? The biggest concern of the people looked towards the idea that "Ms. Marin's behavior undermined Finland's 'reputation and security,'" which was soon to be paired with the idea that she had "neglected her duties as prime minister." This article announced the Chancellor of Justice in Finland had found all of these concerns to be baseless and Ms. Marin is free to continue with her responsibilities without this scandal looming over her head. But will this ever go away? Will people ever be able to omit that video from their memories?
