Recently Elon Musk bought out the popular social media app Twitter. Many changes have come to twitter while under new ownership. Many individuals holding high leadership positions were fired right after Musk became the owner. Since then, many Twitter employees have been fired and replaced with people of Musk's choosing. Most other full-time workers were also fired by email notification. Now it is the contract workers that are likely to be victims of the next firing wave. Some of the most recent firings have been with Twitter's misinformation team. The misinformation team was responsible for handling misinformation spread on the site, much of which was either medical, political, or general integrity. Musk had promised he would make speech on Twitter less restrictive, which is why he is making all of these cuts.
