What the midterm election results could mean for the war in Ukraine
Many Republicans have called for decreasing the amount of military aid to Ukraine. For example, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green said that "not another penny will go to Ukraine," however it's unlikely that Republicans will strongly advocate for cutting financial aid to Ukraine, since support for Ukraine is currently high. One the other hand, some Democratic politicians signed a letter advocating for negotiations and an end to the war. Since Russia invaded Ukraine, the US has sent over $18.9 billion to Ukraine in security assisstance.
