On September 11, 2012, militants attacked the U.S. consulate
in Libya. Following the violence and killing of U.S. ambassador J. Christopher
Stevens and three other Americans in Libya, FBI investigators are postponing a
visit to the area. The FBI agents had planned to be in Libya by Saturday but
have decided against rushing into the country. FBI officials said they want to
be cautious and not put anyone in danger. Officials are currently interviewing
witnesses outside Libya. Four Libyans have been arrested in connection with the
violence on the consulate but it’s not been said if they were directly involved
with the crime. The identities of the Libyans have not been released.
