Mexican Prison Break

On Monday September 17, 129 inmates in a northern Mexico prison escaped. The prison is located in Piedras Negras which is across the border from Eagle Pass, Texas. It was originally thought that these 129 inmates escaped through a 23 tunnel cut through a chain-link fence. But it was then reported that the inmates walked out the front door of the prison. Sixteen prison employees were arrested by authorities after the escape. The police have set up blockades leading to the Mexico-U.S. border and the U.S. Customs and Boarder Patrol have been put on alert near the border.
