Japanese students and families are still suffering from trauma from the Tsunami that hit last year. The main students effected are those from the Iwate, Fuckushima, and Miyagi prefectures. Schools have decided that to help combat these issues more counselors in schools. The fear of nuclear fallout has been on the minds of parent leading to Japanese children becoming more anxious, depressed, and easily upset. Students have also been less active and not doing as well in school within these prefectures, as well as breaking out in more fights. Though these children may seem fine on the outside, they are slowly crumbling on the inside and need help.
