There is an area of Suoth America known as the Triple Frontier. It consists of three towns that harbor Arab merchants. A great deal of crimes and smuggling goes on in Puerto Iguazú, Ciudad del Este, and Foz do Iguaçu. The U.S. discovered this after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. U.S. officials were sent to the Triple Frontier to set some laws and apprehend the terrorists. However, after the U.S arrived, they did not affect the regioin whatsoever. Thanks to the economy, the suspected terrorists cleaned up the Triple Frontier on their own.
