Amid Venezuela's Crisis, an Urgent Need for Dialogue

Protests against President Nicolas Maduro have raised awareness around the world about the situation of Latin American countries that still struggle with authoritarian governments. The article linked below was written by the government's opposition leader, Henrique Capriles Radonski. His insight in what is happening in Venezuela is very honest. He exposes the politic and economical crisis happening in the country. Mr. Maduro is not the first Venezuelan leader to act in an authoritative way, prior to him Venezuela was led by Hugo Chavez. Among the many violent conflicts happening in Venezuela, he points out to the astonishing inflation, with food prices going up by 75% in the last twelve months, the increasing foreign debt that is reaching $100 billion and media censorship. He finishes his article by asking the President to at least consider talking about all this issues because if he doesn't work things out Venezuela will continue on it's path to degradation.
