Haiti Says More Than 100 Died in Hurricane Matthew

According to local officials more than 100 people have been killed by Hurricane Matthew, The Haitian government has dramatically raised the death toll from the half dozen that were reported initially. Haiti was hit with Hurricane Matthew on Tuesday by the 145-mile-per-hour winds and torrential downpour of rain. The death toll is expected to raise as international aid reaches the south of Haiti which is the most affected part of the country. Many aspects of the country have been affected including schools, hospitals and police stations. "According to the United Nations, more than one million people have been affected by the storm in Haiti, and at least a third of them will require humanitarian assistance."
