“Pro-choice rally at Naperville’s NCC urges voters to elect state Supreme Court justices who support abortion rights”

With many parts of the world suffering from political turmoil, this article provided an interesting insight into the upcoming US midterms.  Many issues are on this ballot, like a response to this summer’s Dobbs decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.  People like those in this protest are urging voters to support human rights by electing candidates who reflect these ideals.  While this is a local perspective, it is important to look at what will happen if things like abortion get banned in the US—will people have to travel to other countries?  How will this stretch resources in bordering places, like Mexico and Canada?  How will something local, like the midterms, affect the whole world?
