In the article ,Putins Apocalyptic End Game in Ukraine the author discusses how Putins initial war in Ukraine was an offensive war, an attempt to take over Ukraine and make it part of Russia. Instead what happened was Russia went on the defensive having to leave certain taken regions of Ukraine and defend Russian border. The article discussed possible ways the war can end one being Ukraine giving up regions of Ukraine to Russia, another being nuclear war, and another being Total war. only the first one would be in the whole worlds best interest in avoiding total global annihilation or all out global war. Avoiding war would be in putins interest of survival for his state clearly being shown that Russia is not capable of sustaining a ground or ariel war. This will be interesting and tense to follow in the coming time and will be interesting to see how Russia responds to the defensive shift.
