Thai Parliament stormed

Thailand has been placed under a state of emergency only hours after its Parliament was stormed by a group of protesters, The United Front For Democracy Against Dictatorship. These protesters are in favor of Thailand's former Prime Minister, Thaksin Shinawatra, who fled Thailand in 2008 but remains popular to this day. The current Prime Minister, Abhisit Vejjajiva, addressed the nation and said that this state of emergency is meant to "restore peace and order and to stop the spreading of false information to the Thai public."
