In a vote that was decided by very close margins, Colombia rejected a peace deal that would have ended 50 years of war between rebels and the colombian government. According to CNN 50.22 percent of the vote was against the peace deal. The deal took four years to negotiate and was signed in pens made from recycled bullets by the president and the rebel leader. Santos has reportedly said there is no plan B to the deal that would have rebels give up thier guns and rejoin society.
