North Korea accuses U.S. of being "hell-bent on regime change'

Pyongyang's deputy United Nations ambassador, Ri Tong II, accused the United States of being "hell bent on regime change' in North Korea on Friday. The Communist regime also stated that any "maneuvers" by the United States that reflect that view will be perceived by North Korea as the "red line that will result in countermeasures." The United States continuation of military drills with South Korea, involving the UN in recent ballistic testing that occurred, and attacking Pyongyang's human rights record is what Ri Tong II states as the reasons for his comment.

"The DPRK has been making strenuous, hard efforts, very generous, toward easing the tensions on the Korean peninsula, but ignoring all this generous position of the DPRK and it's proposals, the US went ahead with opening the joint military drills, very aggressive nature, and they're now expanding in a crazy manner the scale of this exercise."

Ri Tong II was also stated as saying North Korea will begin a new type of nuclear testing. When asked about the nature of the testing, he stated, "I recommend you wait and see what it is"
