Russia warns US not to attack Syrian regime

Russia has explicitly told the United States to avoid interfering taking action against the Syrian regime, claiming any U.S involvement would have "negative consequences" throughout the Middle East. Meanwhile, Aleppo continues to be torn apart by fighting, which resulted with one of the main hospitals being bombed. Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova had this to say: "If the US launches a direct aggression against Damascus and the Syrian army, it will lead to terrible, tectonic shifts not only on the territory of this country but also in the region in general" (Karadsheh). Russia's concern is that the U.S is creating a power vacuum that would make the country vulnerable to various terrorist organizations. The article also goes into more details on the hospital bombing in Aleppo, as well as the effects the destruction has had on the population.
