22 Dead in Northern Nigeria

Dogo Dawa, a village in the Kaduna state of Nigeria, was blanketed with violence on Sunday when 22 people were killed. It is believed to beva revenge attack by an armed gang because 4 gang members were arrested the day before. The gang, from a different village, mobilized early Sunday and swarmed the village in an attempt to rescue the 4 members. The investigation also revealed that 2 of the gunmen were killed aswell. Many of the victims were killed as they were leaving mosque. These areas are particularly violent because of large amounts of weapons flowing in, religious tensions between Muslims and Christians, and this well known gang constantly attacking villages.
