Gentle crocs and hippos pay house visits to Nigerians

Nigeria floods kill dozens, wash hippos and crocodiles into homes

A flood in Nigeria washed a bunch of water, hippos, snakes, and crocodiles into peoples' homes.  Besides the onslaught of some of the most dangerous animals you'd want to find in your living room, the drainage of the area is so poor that the water levels cannot subside.
148 died from this.  21 Nigerian states were affected.
The people are being displaced with no actual place to call home.  CNN.com isn't stating what's happening to these people besides a few quickly built camps, but with 134,000 people affected by these floods, where will they go?  Who's burden will they be?  Will we divert breast cancer awareness funds to help some people in Africa, or maybe Red Cross can give them aid.
So long as the flood is there, it can be imagined that their economic stability will be hurt.  Though there isn't news on their economic contributions or state of being, with hippos and crocs roaming around, unless they have an equivalent of Steve Irwin they are out of luck.  I wonder what chain reaction this will play.  Taking into account refugee status, no one gives refugee status for storms.  So now all of these people are simply homeless.
