Turkish Prime Minister criticized UN's lack of action in Syria

On Wednesday, Turkey stopped a Syrian plane, flying from Moscow to Damascus, to check if the plane has military equipment and ammunition, but Syrian militants refused that the plane did not include such things. This has caused the tension between Turkey and its neighbor, Syria. Russia, the major ally of Syrian leader Basher al-Assad, argued that Turkey's interception of the Syrian plane can cause danger to passengers inside.

Turkish Priminister Recep Tayyip Erdogan claimed that United Nations should be doing something for the conflict with Syria. He also stated the U.N.'s "unjust, unequal and inactive mechanisms" prevented more and more from meeting its responsibilities day by day. In his argument, if UN is making decision only upon the polls of five permanent members, and fails to take any action, the history of Syria will later be scarred for a very long time. International peace envoy Lakhdar Brahimi went to Istanbul on Saturday to talk about current conflicts between those two countries. His visit results in the consensus with Saudi King Abdullah on the required action to cease the violence in Syria, which is killing millions of Syrians.
