John Kerry, the current Secretary of State for the United States, was once extremely optimist on peace deal in the Mideast. However, now with all the current strife, he is backing up. All of the major news from around the world seem to be encompassed in why Kerry is re-evaluating his goals. These include, but are certainly not limited to the civil war in Syria, nuclear negotiations with Iran, Russia's moves against Ukraine, and the newest conflict between Israel and Palestine. John Kerry, while certainly not giving up, is quoted saying, "It's reality check time."
