On Saturday, 3 Jewish people were shot and killed at the Jewish Museum in the center of Brussels. The gunman was unidentified and fled the scene. Officials are saying that this appears to be an anti-semantic attack. Two of the three dead we're Israeli tourists, a man and a woman. Security is being tightened up at Jewish sites all across the country. This shooting would be the first anti-semantic attack in Brussels since WWII. The Prime Minister said that the site of the shooting was a symbolic site and that the Country will stand united. The shooting happened on the eve of the European Parliament and national legislature elections. The president of the European Union's executive arms said that this was an attack on European values which that will not tolerate. Typically the Jewish community in Belgium will not report anti-semantic attacks because they feel it will not help and that they are not protected.
