The country of Ukraine is now split between pro-Russians and Ukrainians. There was a recent presidential election. In the west, many people voted for a new government, which has been building up since February. In Donetsk, in the west, only 2% of people voted in the election. One man in the west had this to say about the election. "That happened in Ukraine... We don't live there anymore". The problem with this statement is that Donetsk actually is in Ukraine. The tension has steadily risen between the East and West. It is to the point that a war to many seems to be on the horizon.
“I think there will be war,” said a 56-year-old mining engineer who gave his name as Alexander. “Anyone who thinks logically and isn’t riding a wave of emotion understands this now.”
