Putin Wants Ukraine Referendum Postponed

Russian President Vladimir Putin has asked for Pro-Russian individuals to postpone Ukraine's referendum to vote on creating a stronger sense of autonomy for Ukraine. Tensions between the two nations have been flaring up as of late in the form of skirmishes and shootouts in Ukraine. Putin recently placed Russian troops on the Ukraine-Russia border, but said that the troops have since been removed. However it's believed that over 40,000 troops are still near the Ukraine-Russia border conducting military exercises. Putin was quoted as saying that he didn't believe solving political issues such as these internally was the best course of action, but there have been little signs that he is willing to fully cooperate with Ukraine.
