Drug cartel smuggling more than drugs

This week a ship was seized by Mexican authorities off the port of Manzanillo that was carrying illegal iron ore. The ship contained 68,000 tonnes of iron ore although more than 200,000 tonnes of illegal iron ore have been confiscated in the last few months. The iron ore is being trafficked by the drug cartel  that goes by the name of Knights Templar and is believed to be making its way to China. The Knights Templar is the cartel that also happens to be a main supplier of methamphetamines to the US. It has therefore been sought after for a while now and has had some of its top men killed or captured this year. Now, they are being forced to show legality of the iron ore within the next 30 days.
