"They expect us to limit our missile program while they constantly
threaten Iran with military action. So this is a stupid, idiotic
expectation," Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei told the IRNA news agency.
The Supreme Leader also called on the country's
Revolutionary Guards to mass-produce missiles. The United States and its allies have been worried about Iran's missile program and the possibility of Iran carrying nuclear warhead. Iran denies having any atomic bombs or any development of such weapons.
Earlier in February, Khamenei expressed deep skepticism about the next round of nuclear
negotiations with world powers, saying the session is likely to "lead
nowhere."
