The Washington Post is reporting
that the results of the Austrian election are almost completely in and that a center
right wing man named Sebastian Kurz has won the National election. He is thirty-one years old, which will make
him the youngest leader in the European Union.
Kurz is part of the People’s Party, which has campaigned for the
tightening of Austria’s borders showing the anti-immigration focus in that
country. Social democrats had been in
charge and this is the first time in decades that a right wing party will be in
charge of Austrian affairs.
