Puerto Rico residents, having lost access to (clean) tap water and emergency water supplies cannot reach them, have turned to water from wells that the EPA has marked as being contaminated and are unsafe to use.  For many this is a choice of drinking dangerous water or nothing at all. The EPA has said that it is going to secure all contaminated sites and run samples.  The EPA also stated that the Federal Emergency Management Agency has brought water trucks to supply the people in communities that were drawing on unsafe water, and that power to the water treatment plant will be restored today.
