ASEAN vows to conclude pact with China on disputed territory

 The Association of Southeast Asian Nations met in Jakarta do discuss disputed territories in the south China sea. The claims are over islands that lie between the nine dash line of China and the Exclusive Economic zone of countries of the region. The leaders of the nations met to establish norms and rules to allow for humanitarian aid and trade to be able to continue efficiently. The organization has also criticized the United States for melding in an affair that concerns Asia. The ASEAN made vows to explore new approaches and push for an advancement in negotiations giving hope that the conflict can be resolved peacefully.
