Canada will send naval vessels to Haiti, but stops short of military intervention

Canada will send naval vessels off the coast of Haiti in the upcoming weeks as there is rising insecurity and gang violence within the country. these vessels will conduct surveillance and gather intelligence off the coast of Haiti. Canada's prime minister Trudeau stated that it is important to confirm the severity of the situation going on in Haiti but would not give any military aid on the ground in the Caribbean Nation. Within the past year, Haiti has been engulfed in chaos as anti-government groups run by criminals protest, increased kidnappings, and a resurgence of cholera within the nation. Haiti urges the international community to consider deploying forces amidst this humanitarian and security crisis happening within Haiti.
