Earthquake in Turkey and Syria causes over 1500 Deaths

 An earthquake occurred near the border of Turkey and Syria. A 7.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in Turkey near the Syrian border on Monday, February 6th at around 4:17 in the morning. The Earthquake is said to have caused around 2,000 deaths in Turkey and Syria. This is said to be the largest earthquake to every happen in Turley and it continues to cause harm as the dangerous aftershocks occur. At the time of the article over 7,000 people are injured, with more casualties being reported. Many buildings have collapsed and search and rescue teams have been on the sites that have been hit. The Turkish organization called the Red Crescent has called for people to donate blood and over 45 countries have offered support according to the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Some of the countries that have offered support are France, The United Kingdom, The United States, Israel, Germany, and most notably Russia and Iran. Even though NATO and Russia and Iran have not been on good terms due to recent events both Russia and Iran have offered help the both Turkey and Syria. This shows an interesting level of relations between NATO and Russia because of the recent conflicts between the two parties. Turkey continues to ask for help as the crisis continues.
