BBC just received a shocking video from a month ago that showed Buddhist rioters attacking Muslim minorities in the city of Meiktila. These videos were taken by the police, which provides an even more shocking aspect to the whole situation. Not only are people being brutally beaten, burned, and killed, but also the police are doing nothing to help. You can see in the video that even monks have joined in in the attack. They are usually known to be peaceful, but these riots show a much different side.
I think it would be really great to take a look at this in class.
