US Finalizes Weapons Deal With Israel, Saudi Arabia, and UAE

Chuck Hagel has flown to the Middle East to oversee the finalization of a 100 Billion dollar weapons deal with Israel, Suadi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Hagel was quoted stating, "The bottom line is that Iran is a threat, a real threat...The Iranians must be prevented from developing that capacity to build a nuclear weapon and deliver it."

The armaments included weaponry with "precision capabilities," which can be used to engage an opponent at a large distance, along with several jets.

Hagel also used the visit to Israel to repair ties after a contentious nomination process in the U.S. Senate, in which comments he made on Israel were heavily scrutinized.
