A pretty somber read to start the week with, but I thought it was relevant to the Coming Anarchy article. After a horrifying number of child rape cases in India, people are protesting. Apparently, the government needs to strengthen their police force and better prosecute these heinous crimes. There's a huge problem with sexual assault cases on both women, and children, accompanied by an increase in gang-related violence. In one case, the police tried to pay off a family to keep them quiet. It doesn't seem that any meaningful legislation is being considered.
