Zari
is the first woman to run for political office in Pakistan. She has
only filed her nomination papers but has support from not only her
husband but from a community which typically calls for women to
stay at home. She wants to work for the betterment of women in tribal
areas and promote a softer image for Pakistan's tribal regions. Not
only is she taking the lead but she is also inspiring other women to
do the same.
