Violence in Nigeria Kills 185

Islamic extremists attack a Nigerian village called Baga in the countries far northeast region. The insurgency having begun in 2009 by extremists in the countries northern most regions continues today. Officials report that they recovered and buried at least 185 bodies on Friday after an attack with military grade weapons were used during the assault which lasted for hours. Charred remains of goats and cattle remained in the streets Sunday morning as officials felt it safe to go and saw the turmoil.
