In the northeastern town of Mubi in Nigeria officials say that at least 25 people were killed mostly college students by a attackers. The attack happened at two seperate times one on 10 p.m on Monday and then 3 a.m on Tuesday. The attack took place in the on campus housing of the college of Mubi. Officials in Nigeria are unsure if it a group called Boko Haram, which has previously been known to commit this kind of behavior or a random killing. They also believe it could have been because of rival political groups at the school and this event a result of a recent election that took place. Some people were killed with rifels and otheres were hacked to death with knives. Officials are in the process of ruling out Boko Haram due to the fact names were used and it was not random fire some people were left and others were killed. My opinion of this is obviously it is horrific. It also makes me think though to what extend is this surprising. People go to war and kill for political reasons everyday so why is this so different? I am not saying that it is right but this sometimes the killing of a few gets more publicity then the genocide of millions.
