Flood in Nigeria

Just recently, a flood affected many Nigerians; killing 148 people. According to Red Cross, approximately 134,000 have been effected by the numerous downpour of rain. Many families were forced into makeshift camps because their homes have been destroyed. It is said that the parts of Nigeria that were effected included Bayelsa and Benue. What makes this flood even worse is that the land has become swampy with sea water mixing with fresh water. It has caused animals such as hippos, snakes and crocodiles to end up in peoples houses. It is even worse because there is still no relief available. Locals are heading to higher ground and staying in schools.
