A group of Syrian government troops surprised the rebels in the village of Baboulien in Idlib. 12 rebels died, along with some Syrians getting injured. The attack was to try and "resupply" a Syrian military base. The Rebels have been trying to overtake the base for a few months now, according to this article. The attack was also responsive to the Rebels shooting down a government helicopter three days prior, which was carrying food and supplies to the base.
