China mobilizes military, on 'high alert' over N. Korea threats

As recent as three days ago, the People's Liberation Army or the Chinese Army has been increasing its military presence on the border of North Korea. There has been a spotting of PLA tanks and armored person carriers (APC) in the city of Ji'an in the Jilin province and near the Yulu  River that separates China and North Korea. There have been reports from the other border regions that the People's Liberation Air Force has been conducting patrols around the border. Officials from the PLA have confirmed that the PLA in the border region are now at a 'Level One' readiness, its highest. There is much speculation as to why the PLA has been mobilized and been put on alert near the border of North Korea. There is some speculation that the actions taken by the PLA to mobilize their troops are due to a fear of large-scale refugee flow into China resulting from a loss of "law and order" in North Korea. As the situation in the Korean Peninsula escalates I believe so too will the amount of PLA troops near the border of North Korea.
