Britain will not invite Cristina Fernandez, the president of Argentina, to Margaret Thatcher's funeral. Thatcher, who died on Monday, was in power when Britain and Argentina fought over the Falklands. Fernandez said it does not bother her not to be invited to the funeral, and that she does not take it as a personal offense. It was against the Thatcher family's wishes that the Argentinian president be invited, due to the nature of the dispute in the 1980's.
