On Saturday April 6th, six Americans and an Afghan doctor were killed in two attacks. This happened during the same time that U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Martin Dempsey, began to come to Afghanistan to assisting the troops. The most deadly attack happened in the Zabul province of Afghanistan. The car bomb in Zabul killed six people, three of them were Americans and one was the Afghan doctor. This attack is troubling due to the fact that Dempsey was in the country in efforts to aid troops and end this on-going violence. Attacks like these are hard to hear because, it reminds us that the war is not over and peace is still not there.
