According to South Korean defense
chief, North Korea had moved a missile to its east coast basis. However, this
missile is not threatening to the USA due to its weak capabilities to reach the
USA. This threatening movement is not the first of its kind. North Korea has recently
threatened to hit American basis in Hawaii, Guam, and some other unnamed targeted bases
if necessary. According to
the article, ‘“The moment of explosion is approaching fast,” the general staff
of the North Korean People’s Army said in a statement carried by the North’s
official Korean Central News Agency. “The U.S. had better ponder over the
prevailing grave situation.”’ Although many analysts believe that North
Korea missiles are not powerful nor advanced enough to the reach the American’s
land, they think the US should speed the process of an advanced missile defense
system to Guam due to the North Korean threatening bellicose language. According
to the South Korean Defense Minister, Kim Kwan-jin, he said, “’the
missile North Korea had moved to the east coast, possibly “for demonstration or
for training,” In addition, the missile that was moved to the east coast
is a Musudan, which is capable of traveling 1,900 miles from its
starting point. The good news is that Guam is nearly 2,200 miles from North
Korea, said the South Korean Defense Ministry.North Korea is doing its
best to threat South Korea. According to the article, last Thursday, many South
Koreans were blocked by the North Korean’s government from “crossing the border
to enter a jointly operated industrial park”. In top of that, North Korea has threatened
to pull out more than 53,000 North Korean employees from the joint factory park
if scoffs from the South Korean news media continued. At the end of the
article it mentioned that the North Korean government accused the US and South
Korea of hacking some of North Korean’s official websites. This made the South
Korean Government suspect, doubt and investigates if the North Korean
government was involved or has anything to do with the recent disruption of computer
network of three banks and broadcasters.
