Russia's Orthodox leader calls feminism 'very dangerous'
This article discusses that women should not partake in feminism because it gives them a false sense of freedom. This would interrupt the dynamic and morals of the community, so the leader of the Orthodox church has tagged it as dangerous. The Russian Orthodox church has very traditional views of having the wife stay at home and raise the children, while the man is supposed to work. The conflict appeared due to the band Pussy Riot who went against traditional values and arrested by wearing mini skirts while performing at the Orthodox Church. This shows the power of their traditional value, but other players in the feminist movement are making an effort to protest on their behalf.
